Talavao Ngata

Talavao is a young Tongan woman from South Auckland. She currently works in a community library in Clendon, Manurewa while studying human rights at AUT's School of Social Science and Public Policy. She began her involvement with CPAG at the beginning of 2017 as an undergrad student looking to understand how the organisation works to advocate for tamariki in New Zealand. She continues her involvement with the aim of opening up a space to include more young people in CPAG's kaupapa, but also to push for more youth support behind the issue of child and whānau poverty. Tala is a current MC member.
