Janfrie Wakim
Janfrie is a founding member and guiding light of CPAG. She was Convenor for ten years and has held numerous other positions on the Management Committee. She was a contributor to the second edition of CPAG's Our Children: The Priority for Policy
She is constantly motivated to keep fighting issues of inequality and social justice. Janfrie puts this down to her family background, her experience as a teacher in secondary and tertiary institutions and working in the family business.
Being a mother and a grandmother is probably also an important factor in her work to highlight the effects and long term consequences of child poverty.
